The 3 Little Chefs Pancake & Waffle Mix creates fluffy, light pancakes and delicious waffles. Breakfast will become a favorite meal of the day especially when you add your own fresh blueberries or chocolate chips. Each package contains enough dry ingredients to make 16 pancakes and 12 waffles. Each recipe batch yields 8 to 9 four inch pancakes or 6 to 7 six inch waffles.

Pancake History

The first pancake type foods were eaten by the ancient Romans and made on bake stones. Early pancakes in America date back to 1607. American Indians called them “nokehick” (it is soft) soon it became no cake. Through the years, “journey cake”, Johnny cake, hoe cake, griddle cake and buckwheat cake have all been used to describe this beloved American breakfast staple. The word “pancake” was not actually used until around 1870. Some form of pancake can be found in just about every corner of the globe. We believe our mix produces a simple, comfy, cozy version that we have come to know and love.

Baking Mix Information

There are enough dry ingredients in this package to make 16 Pancakes and 12 Waffles. You only have to provide the wet and dairy ingredients. This not only provides an opportunity to be creative but, also to teach the basics of cooking. Children will learn to measure ingredients and use kitchen utensils. It is also an opportunity to enhance their educational skills.
